Frequently Asked Questions

A: Career Academy, through the Career Path app, is a career exploration platform designed to help high school students start identifying their professional interests early on. Students can search, discover, and dive deeper into various industries and explore the wide range of career paths available within each one.

A: The CP platform is designed to be incredibly simple and user-friendly. With a one-time download of the Career Path app, students gain lifetime access. They can explore a wide range of career paths or search by specific industries. The core mission is to help students discover exciting careers they may not have known existed—and guide them through the clearest, most effective path to achieving those goals.

A: It's a one-time fee of just $8.99, and students receive lifetime access to the CP App. This small investment supports their entire high school journey—and beyond—by covering the ongoing administrative, IT, and data management efforts required to keep the platform running. With new career information added and updated daily, the CP App remains a real-time, dynamic resource built to grow alongside students' goals and interests.

A: The first goal is to help students uncover career paths they may not have known existed. Each module then breaks down what the career involves, including daily responsibilities, pros and cons, future outlook and demand, a step-by-step guide to entering the field, associated costs and timelines, how to begin preparing while still in high school, and a list of top educational programs for that career across the country. The CP App is a powerful tool designed to support all high school students in making informed career choices.

A: Absolutely. The modules can be saved in their profile page to be reviewed again anytime over the years. This is important as each module provides a step by step checklist on how to achieve that career. This can be referenced for years, as membership in the Career Path app is for life.

A: Hundreds of different paths from all different industries, with more being added (and current ones being updated) every day. There is currently more than 75 hours worth of career based reading available inside the app.

A: We recommend that students start using this app by Grade 9, around age 14. This allows them approximately four years to explore potential career paths and understand what it takes to pursue them—giving them time to plan without feeling rushed or overwhelmed as high school ends. That said, this is only a suggestion. Students of any age, younger or older, are welcome to sign up and use the app, as long as they are able to understand the information presented.

A: This platform isn’t limited to any one industry. Instead, it’s built around three key focus areas: Careers that are currently in high demand, Careers projected to experience significant growth over the next 10 to 25 years, and New and emerging roles in industries that are evolving alongside societal changes. A standout feature is the "Unknown Careers" section, which highlights unique and often overlooked professions that many students have never heard of before.

A: Each Career Path module is built using a combination of reliable sources. We’ve gathered information through in-depth internal research, conversations with industry professionals, insights from market and employment trend experts, and yes—even a little help from AI to uncover harder-to-find details and future predictions. By combining all of these perspectives, we’re confident the information is accurate, well-rounded, and up to date. Of course, some details may change over time as industries evolve—but don’t worry, Career Path will continue to monitor and update each module so you always have the most current information.

A: No, we are not affiliated with any schools, nor do we accept sponsorships from educational institutions. All of the information within our Career Path modules is completely independent and unbiased. We do not charge schools, programs, or industries to be featured. For example, if you see a university or college listed under "Top Educational Programs" for a specific career, it’s there because our research and conversations with professionals support its value—not because anyone paid to be included. That’s our promise to you.

A: The flags show which countries the module applies to. In some cases, the steps or requirements to enter a career are the same or very similar across different countries. When that happens, we’ve combined the information into one module. If you see your country’s flag, it means the content in that module is relevant to you.
